Born 1947 in Stockholm
Started in 1963 at Rickard Andersson’s Music School. Teacher: piano Greta Stenberg, Astrid Berwald, music theory Margit E Andersson
Started in 1959 at Borgarskolan’s music school. Teacher Eva Karlbom
Audition for Johannes Norrby, concert hall manager and Swedish Radio (went pretty well but was not enough all the way)
Started in 1965 at Royal Institute of Technology, Electrical Engineering, 1970 Master of Science in Engineering, 1982 PhD, Adjunct Professor 1997 – 2003, Docent 2005
Was with Ericsson most of the period 1983 – 2014, of which a couple of years in the US Dallas,TX and one year as visiting scientist at Stanford, CA
Played with various student orchestras, pop bands and jazz bands during the student years
Organist, arranger and composer in the soul group AdLibs winner of the Swedish Radio’s pop band competition Oppoppa 1969
Toured in the Swedish amusements parks, Folkparkerna with AdLibs and famous Swedish pop artists
Keyboardist, arranger and composer in several big bands and the very creative group Kartago (sextet with trumpet, alto sax, tenor sax, keyboard, bass and drums) who played at famous jazz clubs (among others Stampen) in Stockholm and the surrounding area
Later returned to mainly play classical music and jazz on piano, many events at work
Has since 2014 played piano with the folk music group Absoluta Mollpunkten in a special program with songs after Jan Johansson’s “Jazz på Svenska”
Performed a couple of times in 2017 – 2018 at Scene Ouverte Classique, opera in Monpellier, France with classic – jazz fusion piano and with our son Robert, baryton, singing American broadway classics
Participated in 29th INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION FOR OUTSTANDING AMATEURS (Chopin: Etude C# minor Lento and Debussy: Pour Le Piano) March 2018
